There is a full schedule of games on Boxing Day in England with some intriguing matches in the Premier League.
Everton v Wigan
This is a very tough game for Wigan who have collected just 4 points from their last eight games. They face an Everton side who are looking to continue their push for Champions League football and it’s difficult to see anything other than a home win. Everton @ 1.53
Fulham v Southampton
Fulham have won only one of their last ten matches but this looks a good opportunity for them to get back to winning ways against Southamptom who struggle on the road. Fulham @ 1.93
Man United v Newcastle
The return of captain Vidic to the United side will help them defensively and that looks ominous for the rest of the league as United have been scoring goals for fun this season. Man United -1.75 Asian Handicap @ 1.90
Norwich v Chelsea
Chelsea are coming off the back of an 8-0 win over Villa so confidence is sure to be sky high in the Blues camp. Despite Norwich having a good home record where they have won their last five games, it’s difficult to see anything other than an away win. Chelsea @ 1.67
QPR v West Brom
QPR have improved under Harry Redknapp but they still lack quality in the attacking areas. Expect another dogged defensive performance from the home side which should mean few goals. Under 2.5 goals @ 1.96
Reading v Swansea
It’s difficult to see why Swansea are as big at 6/4 away to the bottom side Reading. Some pundits have been praising Reading’s performance away to Man City at the weekend where they lost to a last minute goal but the truth is that they had eleven men behind the ball and didn’t really look to attack City. The fact they are playing at home here means they will have to come and play as they need the 3 points and that will leave them very exposed against a Swansea who keep the ball well and create plenty of chances. Swansea @ 2.5
Sunderland v Man City
Manchester City found a way to defeat Reading without playing well but need to improve if they are to win against Sunderland who took four points off the Citizens last season and were impressive 1-0 winners at Southampton on Saturday. Sunderland +1 Asian Handicap @ 1.97
Aston Villa v Tottenham
Villa were humiliated at Stamford Bridge so expect a reaction from Paul Lambert’s side though they face a tricky opponent as Tottenham look to be a good away side. Villas-Boas men counter attacks in alot of their away games and they already have some good away results this season. Goals should flow in this one so Over 2.5 @ 1.9
Stoke v Liverpool
Stoke have kept nine league clean sheets this season and are very difficult to beat at home. Liverpool are coming off an easy 4-0 home win over Fulham but this will be a very difficult task for Brendan Rodgers men. Draw @ 3.2
